Overview A fine and impressive sapphire and diamond bangle from the Late Victorian period. A reeded, split bangle in 18 carat gold, set with two rows of mine-cut diamonds, leading to the central section featuring an old-cut diamond and a cushion-cut blue sapphire, claw-set on a bias, each flanked with an old-cut diamond to each side. The impressive principal diamond is of approximately 4.00 carats in weight and of bright and lively nature. The deep, royal-blue sapphire is accompanied by a certificate from GCS London stating that the weight is approximately 6.40 carats and that is has been spared any form of thermal treatment. An exceptional example of antique jewellery featuring top quality gemstones.
