A beautifully carved, glossy apple-green piece of jadeite, carved in the form of a leaping fish, with engraved scale detailing. Suspended from a gold bale to wear as a pendant.
Because the Chinese character for fish is pronounced the same as the character for surplus, the fish is frequently used as a symbol of wishing for more, in the sense of luck, fortune, etc.
